Sitting by the pool under an umbrella at our Singapore hotel just waiting for our transport to take us to the airport. Not looking forward to the next leg to get to Australia. The weather in Singapore is really hot and humid and at the moment it is raining so heavily that it makes the rain in England look like light showers! Still a few British folk swimming in the pool!
Singapore has been different to what I expected. It is sooooo expensive. We went to Raffles this morning and Chris had a Guinness which cost about £8. I had a coffee and a cheesecake. Our hotel here has been really good. Chris has enjoyed the breakfasts although it is strange to see chicken sausages, they're so white!
Yesterday we went on a cable car across to Sentosa Island. It is a bit like a theme park over there. They have a Universal Studios and other attractions. We went to an underwater world. It was absolutely packed.
The flight over here from the UK was good and we made good time and even managed to sleep for a lot of it. Next blog will be from Sydney.
